This is a full-time, faculty position, scheduled to work a minimum of 35 hours per week.
Salary Placement:
The position will be placed on Salary Schedule D1 with a pay range of $40,473-$87,562, depending upon degree and applicable work experience, at the President's discretion.
Summer employment may be available depending upon enrollment for an additional range of $12,496 - $27,081.

Essential Functions:
The Industrial Electronics Technology (ILT) Instructor must teach ILT, Industrial Maintenance Technology, and Building Construction courses; advise students; sponsor student organizations as assigned; participate in college and departmental committee work; submit required reports on attendance and grades; and assist in registration.
This position is under direct supervision of the Dean of Workforce Development and Skills Training and must comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, and Northeast Alabama Community College.

Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:
Organize, instruct, and supervise students in both the classroom and lab settings as assigned Prepare course syllabi and learning outcomes in conjunction with departmental guidelines Participate in the selection of texts and teaching materials Serve as academic advisor for students as assigned, including utilizing advising software and following College advising procedures and processes Participate in all student registration periods and work closely with students to adjust schedules per the College drop/add process Assist students in attaining industry certifications, including NCCER, NOCTI, and other relevant certifications Maintain appropriate work hours as outlined in State and College policies Participate in the College's planning process Serve on institutional committees Assist in the development, evaluation, and revision of program curricula to insure maximum student competency Be willing to attend professional training as required by program needs or requirements Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the College Maintain currency of professional knowledge and skills through professional development and continuing education Recruit students for the program and College at large Teach day and evening classes, on and/or off-campus, and distance education courses, if needed, including industry training courses Have knowledge of and commitment to the philosophy and objectives of Northeast Alabama Community College Represent the College and its philosophy to prospective students and to others in the community Collect and maintain performance data for reporting purposes Maintain a safe, secure, and sanitary classroom and lab environment Complete other duties as assigned by the Dean or President Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to present instructional material in an understandable manner Ability to deal with students from a variety of backgrounds Knowledge of subject matter and latest advances in subject (s) taught Understanding of the mission and goals of Northeast Alabama Community College and the Alabama Community College System Knowledge of established policies and procedures of the college Minimum Required Education, Training, and/or
Experience:
Associate degree or diploma in a related field from an accredited institution required.
Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of three years of documented experience in industrial electricity, instrumentation, robotics programming, PLC programming, motor controls, hydraulics, mechatronics, and/or industrial controls required Industrial certification in industrial electronics, PLCs, and/or robotics preferred Experience and/or certification in HVAC systems preferred Application Procedures/Additional Information IMPORTANT!!! - Read all of the following information very carefully before you submit an application.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
